Grinding on green, eating seedlings from the bud
The branch of the twig is removed immediately before the grafting. They must be undamaged and with mature buds. They cut off in the morning or in the evening and immediately release from the leaves. But leave a third of the leaf handle. Then you should poured them into bundles. Wrapped in a wet textile and kept in the cooler room for at least two or three days. It is important that the buds remain fresh, because the success of the grafting depends on it.
On the lower part of the branch, the buds are undeveloped and are perfectly immature. They should be rejected before harvesting. Fifteen days before this work, the substrate is cleansed from the side branches and leaves, 15-25 cm. above the ground. This can be done even before the grafting process, especially if there are no watering conditions.
If drought, two weeks earlier the substrate should be watered for easier separation of the bark from the wood. On the day of grafting, they are cleansed with a soft textile. Make longitudinal and transverse cut above the ground at 10-15cm.
The dull part of the bone knife carefully detach and insert the bud. Immediately tie Grafting/budding “IVI” tape by wrapping three-four times. Otherwise, the bud is sharpened with a sharp part of the knife with a curd and a thin layer of wood.
In 7-14 days later, it can be checked, if the grafting has been successful. If a part of the handle is easily removed when touched, the bud is received and if it is dry and difficult to separate, grafting has failed.
